My friend and my mom both recommended this book to me and I thought it would be childish but it was actually wonderful! A lot of mysteries and surprises, as well as characters that actually have very different and lovely personalities that work together very interestingly. Other than the cheesy romance, this book was much better than I thought it would be, and I will definitely be continuing this series :)

It was very, very, very good! I loved every minute! I'm going to review this as the whole series, so any spoilers will be for the whole series not just this book.
WHY KEEFE WHY?! (my thoughts on the ending of neverseen)
It's very good! I loved the world and everything about it! I definitely would recamend, but be warned you will want to scream at the end of some of the books and Keefe & Dex will keep you laughing.
AND you might see a whole lot of Elwin vistits. and more of the foster fan club!
Go team Keefe! OR Team Foster-Keefe!

THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. Ok, so it's been a while since I've read it, and it's a really late review, but I needed to write something on how amazing this book is.

The characters are all amazing, but Keefe...Keefe is just...THE BEST. He's adorable (I love him so much, why can't he be real?) and hilarious. Well, in this book you don't get much of him in this book, but we will later....

I probably should've started with this, but I had to mention Keefe first cause Keefe is epic. Anyway, the book's about twelve-year-old Sophie Foster, who's ALREADY a senior and doesn't fit in. Ever since she was five, she's been able to hear peoples thoughts. It hurt, but she couldn't block the thoughts, and she was too scared to tell anyone. Then some random epic guy with an awesome sort of British accent (I love British accents) comes along and they meet when she's on a field trip to the museum. So then the guy (Fitz) shows her where she really belongs: the Lost Cities, which is where the elves live.

I'll just hurry and finish this up: so she goes to the Lost Cities, meets an awesome and adorable Dex, Dex and her get kidnapped by mysterious people.

If I had more time, I'd probably write a better and WAY longer summary, but I don't.

Overall it's a great book with great characters. I do feel like the writing is a bit...juvenile maybe? But the story it's self is awesome. I DEFINITELY recommend this book. Then read the rest of the series. Then suffer as you wait for Nightfall to come out. (Also ship Foster-Keefe)

That's all for this! Comment "Keefe rocks" or something if you actually read the whole thing. I don't blame you if you didn't.

New favorite series maybe?

Tricky politics, espionage, multiple species, drama, powers, comedy, love triangles (and polygons), loss, redemption, loads of "gray area" ethics dilemmas, strong female lead - this series has it all!

My only complaint: The love triangle. We can have strong leads without romantic plots.

They put Sophie through so much in 9 months I’m just astounded. Enjoyed it - some characters I felt fell flat in this book but looking forward to see how they’re developed later on in the series.
