I Want That Nut! by Madeline Valentine

Mouse and Chipmunk are good friends who find themselves in conflict when an acorn falls nearby. They both use increasingly nefarious ways to take possession of - and hang out with as a friend -
the nut. Eventually, it turns out that the nut belongs to a squirrel, and the friends find a log with whom both can be friends. Dialogue is shown in text bubbles familiar to Elephant & Piggie fans while narration just appears on the page. Nice exploration of best friends' becoming friends with a 3rd.

Not super memorable. I read it a few days ago and can't even remember it that well. I do think it was a cute story about 2 animals fighting over a nut.
