This is a really special book. The genre smoothie of memoir, science, spirituality/philosophy, and poetry is so singular and lovely.
Kimmerer is so generous in her sharing of her knowledge, culture, family, wisdom, and self. This book was written as a gift and I definitely received it as such.
Highly recommend.

Audio book read by the author. It is interesting that I happened to listen to this immediately after finishing House Made of Dawn. Two wonderful books by Indigenous people of this country. While searching for a road trip audio book Braiding Sweetgrass was available and I am so happy to have listened to it. There is a tremendous amount of wisdom in the book and the love of plants, people, and the wisdom of the ancients comes through in this book.

This is a beautiful book describing the importance of gratitude for our natural environment. While a slow read, the stories are deeply rich and meaningful throughout.

This is the most beautiful book I have ever read. Robin braids science and indigenous knowledge to create a love letter to the natural world. She lays out possible paths and reiterates that we will choose the future of humanity. I recommend this book to everyone who breathes.
