What a trope filled bunch of drivel. It tried to be a Rebecca Yarros book and failed. The characters are terribly written.
Spoilers from here... boy dates girl, boy cheats on girl. Girl starts to fall for boy's bestie but won't leave original boy. Bestie helps girl more than boy. Boy breaks up with girl and she ends up with the bestie. Bestie is damaged and she rehabilitates him. They live happily ever after. Sooo trope. I would have quit reading it sooner if it hadn't been my only audiobook....which is dual narrated. But the way she says Colt sounds like a bad soap opera. The actors tried though.

Overall I liked this book. It was an easy read and I obviously read it in 3 days so it pulled me in wanting to know the ending. I want to read the second because the second is about two other characters from the first book.
Giving it a 4 because there were a few things that annoyed me like the main guy constantly calling the main girl “Sunshine” kinda cringey to me. Just an example.

I honestly loved this book. This is the book that has introduced me to Kelsie Rae. I was in a book slump and it took me out of it. It’s a light, fun read that has me excited for all the other books in the series.
