Not sure I have the words for this yet other than that the history of the making of the American West is horrific. If only we knew it. Spoke of it. Repented of it.
We are not the people we think we are. This nation is not what it thinks it is. We who claim Christ do not possess the inheritance of nonviolence, benevolence, and peace we think we do. Ours is an inheritance of dispossession. Of violence. Of genocide. All condoned by a culture that baptized racial and cultural supremacy as God-ordained. This is our past. But God willing it does not have to be our future.
Necessary reading for all Americans.

An incredibly well-researched, but very difficult read. A book you have to put down and take a breath before continuing many times.

As most already know this is truly a classic. In full color we get to see and experience the genocide committed by the whites. Always been a fan of this book, and find it important to be read more widely as the core elements of racism, and the use of police to brutally assault the innocent still very much exist today.

Though it was very long, it was extremely informative. Re learned some things I had forgotten and learned alot of new things. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to know more than the whitewashed version of history we are taught in school. The audiobook is excellent quality.
