Sheer nostalgia. It's very different from revisiting Roald Dahl as an adult (because rereading Matilda was genuinely a new and enhanced experience), but the humour still gets me.

Have I ever read Horrid Henry before or is just a case of him sounding familiar, anyway I can't recall, this is book six of the series, although from reading this one it seems you could read it in any order. Somewhat interesting and engaging, with just the right amount of humour and not taking itself too seriously injected into the book. I hope at some point to reacquaint myself with Henry and his world.
