This book was interactive, it was fun, and my kids loved it! It gets you to say “hello” to the shy dinosaur and is a good lesson for kids that they can’t approach everyone the same because sometimes people are shy or have anxiety! I loved this book!

I love this book and have used it in story times before. It's a hit! It also teaches important topics in a kid friendly way, like personal boundaries and speaking to people in a calm way.

Crunch, the Shy Dinosaur (2018) written by Greg Pizzoli and illustrated by Cirocco Dunlap

An interactive picture book, "Crunch is shy, so you'll have to be the first to say hello. Go on, say HELLO." Crunch's shyness is not something he needs to get over. It's about us (the readers) getting to know Crunch and changing our approach to make Crunch feel his best. It's simple, silly, and just makes my heart happy!

Any book that gets Akiva to actually do the participation parts is a huge win. Plus I love that this teaches the idea of both doing too little and too much. It’s adorable and you close the book gently at the end.
