This book wasn't part of my childhood but hey, it's never too late to read children's books! I'm happy to finally discover a simple book I can turn to anytime, especially when I'm feeling down. Aside from the wholesome stories here, I'm also interested in the author's background, as a fellow queer person. I can only imagine what he wanted in life, and how he manifested it with what Frog and Toad have. I too wish to have something like this. Whether I ever get it or now, at least I'm happy that Frog and Toad can share their joy with me.

I just finished reading this with my 4 year old daughter. She loves the stories and it was great to have quick stories for bedtime. I can't wait to do it again with her and my little boy.
