Ich habe versucht, es auf deutsch zu rereaden, musste es aber wegen der schlechten Übersetzung abbrechen.
In meinem Urlaub habe ich zwei Bücher der Autorin Author Vi Keeland im Original gelesen.
Auf sie bin ich gekommen, weil ich es liebe, Football Liebesromane zu lesen und sie "The Baller" geschrieben hat. Dieser erscheint im September auch auf deutsch im LYX Verlag mit dem Titel TOUCHDOWN – ER WILL DOCH NUR SPIELEN und ich kann es euch wärmstes empfehlen.

Aber das ist soooooo falsch!!!!!!
In diesem Buch steckt so viel mehr, was ich hier jetzt so nicht schreiben darf (Spoiler) und somit müßt ihr es einfach alle lesen. 😜
Was kann man zu Quarterback Brody Easton sagen ohne euch zu spoilern? 🙈
Er ist verdammt heiß, sehr lustig (was habe ich seine Sprüche geliebt und ich musste so oft laut lachen) und liebenswert. Aber da steckt noch mehr hinter diesem Mann, als es nach außen hin scheint.... Ihr werdet ihn lieben!

Reporterin Delilah Maddox mag man auch direkt von Anfang an. Sie ist sehr taff und ehrgeizig, doch ein Bestimmter Quarterback schafft es immer wieder, sie aus dem Konzept zu bringen und sprachlos zu machen. 😉
Vi Keeland hat einen sehr flüssigen Schreibstil und ich habe die ping-pong Dialoge geliebt.
Es gibt hier viel Football, viel Liebe, viele heiße Szenen, humorvoll und auch einige Kapitel, die einen nachdenklich machen und den ein oder anderen zum Taschentuch greifen läßt. 😢

This was a cute book but it was a little too perfect and cliched for me. I didn't feel there was enough depth in the relationships and stuff. Still a quick and enjoyable read though.
I also didn't like how there was Willows POV. Maybe because Willow was an asshole and I wasn't supporting her and Brody. Maybe the author should have wrote Brody's POV when they had that conversation about not being together and whatever. It should have added more substance I believe.

I will NEVER understand how people are okay with an asshole, arrogant male. JUST because a person can toss around a ball really well, is extremely good looking, and well built does NOT make it okay for him to be an awful person.
Also: the sex in this was...eh... It was pretty much the male telling the girl what to do and that was supposed to be hot? Idk, not really my vibe.

This book was not at all what I expected. I was thrown for a loop in the best way possible. I really enjoyed every single moment of this audiobook!
Loved it! I have yet to read anything from Vi Keeland that I haven't absolutely loved. The characters are always fun to get to know and their stories are alway wonderful. My only problem now is deciding g which book to read next!
I’m really torn on this one. I really, really enjoyed the first half of it, and I thought I knew where the plot was going. I have really enjoyed the few books I’ve read from this author, and so I went in knowing that she sometimes throws in a serious wrench into the romance. This wrench was really out of left field for me. **spoilers to follow**
So, I thought that the dude that Brody hates (Michael?) was going to be part of the conflict. I wanted to be shown what kind of guy he really was. Is he really just misunderstood? Is he the biggest jackwagon to grace the earth? We never even find out. We’re TOLD by Delilah towards the end that he’s really a good guy. But... wait. I’m so confused. Brody’s side of the story doesn’t tell me that about him. I just can’t believe that. So I’m kinda annoyed that that story line was opened up, and then dropped. Also....
We’re given the impression that Willow (Brody’s long lost love/ex who was a crack head) is dead. Surprise!!! She’s not. Oook. I’m sorry. I was just so confused by how we were supposed to feel about her. I hated her, of course, because she’s suddenly coming between Brody and Delilah. But then we have multiple chapters from HER POV, showing how sweet and kind and aaaaamazing she is now. Are we switching heroines here? Am I supposed to now be rooting for this chick? Because, no. I do not care if she farts rainbows, I want her out of this book. She need to go get her own book. Which I wouldn’t read, because now I’m extremely annoyed that she’s trying to horn in on this one.
Ultimately, I just kind of felt like this story wasn’t very consistent. I’ll keep reading more from this author because I did love Boss Man, Playboy Pilot and Stuck-Up Suit, but this one was a little bit of a dud for me.
