I found this book quite slow paced to start with, but it did pick up. Not too much angst which is how I like my romances! By the end I was really enjoying the MCs relationship.

I just love a good sports romance...

I Read this years ago and is another one I tend to read over and over

It says something really if you go back to it and still enjoy it

There was an ow pov and that is all you need to know. The .75 was for the first half of the book bc the second half was absolute dog sh*t

So I really like there story they knew they wanted each other and gave it a shot. I give 4.5 stars.

I say that because there is a love triangle. Brody and Delilah had past lover they really cared for but for Delilah it ended because he died and for Brody it was because his ex Willow was on drugs and he takes care of her grandmother, Marlene, who is important to him because she took care of him. Everything is great until Willow returns and is clean and she still loves him. I understand that she wants to see if he still feels the same and wants to at least try but it frustrated/pissed me off because he's with Delilah and she was worried about it. Brody hates/ loves (but is not inlove with her) Willow and when Marlene gets sick/dies he wants to help her but he invites her to his room and he knows how Delilah feels but still. Willow even gets a few chapters in her own POV. I don't why because the author made her seem like she was going to be a problem and it was frustrating but then she not and she just leaves like....what? .... then what was the point but I am happy for that because Brody and Delilah are meant for one another! I love the whole thing after the whole thing with Willow is cleared up because Brody is just AMAZING !!!

Borzalmas..

I did like this book but I felt like so many things could’ve been different. We didn’t need willows Pov, we didn’t need their 2 second break, and I never felt like Brody truly loved Delilah. Overall an okay book.

2.5/3 stars. Honestly, not what I thought the book would be! I was so surprised the storyline had more depth than I expected. I would have liked it so much more if the MMC didn’t have the WORST dialogue. So cringy.

*spoilers*

But the story itself surprised me with willow actually being alive and having a POV too. I wasn’t sure where the story would go or who he would choose so that made it more interesting to me!
