I like that The Deal is always a quick read. It deals with heavy topics but keeps the romance developing throughout.

This book does talk about rape as a trigger warning.

Fairly average in my opinion. Honestly did not realize this was practically all smut although seeing the old cover really explains it. It did somewhat take a fix me approach to SA which is complicated and also had lots of slut shaming. The story itself was a a chill quick read to fill the gaps and Garret Graham is a new standard in many ways

The writing is definitely not a strong point of this book. It was just a cute and fun read that sometimes made me cringe. Nothing special really.

2.5⭐️- this is one of them books that feel like wattpad but you can’t stop reading and you need to know the ending.

It falls into the category of spoon feeding you and reminding you over and over again the same line “I can’t do this because of the r*pe” “this made me feel like this because of the r*pe”. One of my least favourite traits of a book, I should know the characters well enough to not need that, there should be room for inference or inserted reminders in a way that flows.

I did however like the ending and the story and I would like to read the next book
