I did really enjoy this book, but sometimes the writing felt a bit clunky. It also felt like lots of things happened one after the other and it probably could’ve been 2 books. For instance, it was hard to mourn the death of
Hollis
because it felt like we didn’t really get time to get to know them really.

I really like Dey as a main character and her flaws were very well written. She acted very much how I thought someone who just wants to be loved but is scared would act!

I loved the idea of it though and it did keep me captivated!

Deyonara is death's maiden, given a name after name that she must hunt down and kill so they can be taken to death's court. Until a dark stranger comes in and turns her world upside down. She has never known happiness, never known kindness, and never known love until she it welcomed into a band of misfits who become her found family.
Can they save her from her darkness?
Can she save them from their world?
After all, you can't exactly get more morally grey than death himself.

I really enjoyed the adventure this book took me on. Different enough to remain riveting, but familiar enough that you feel like you know the characters and therefore get invested in the story.
I laughed, I cried, and I rolled my eyes at some of the more maddening characters several times.

I'd call it a New Adult,Dark Fantasy Romance

The audiobook for this was absolutely fantastic! I gave a higher rating for that point. The overall story was good as well. There were parts it was slow, and wasn’t sure some scenes were necessary, but I enjoyed the ending and the book overall.
