It hurts me to rank a Kristin Hannah book so low but I just wasn’t into this one.

Wow - this was a difficult read. I liked it better than Firefly Lane, because there was more to the story. But the issues are heavy - the effects of intergenerational trauma and abuse. Lots of triggering topics.

I love Kristin Hannah’s writing so much 

I felt like this one maybe took on too many characters and could have had a more central focus 

I also felt like the book dragged on but also was so rushed - like not enough information about the right things 

Still an incredible read just not my favorite by her

Do you ever read a book just get happy when it's over? This book just kind of drug on about the death of one individual affecting so many people in bad ways. It just feels like the same sentence was repeated a lot and I just wanted to punch through it to call it good.
