A doctor wakes up in the care of a nameless stranger after falling in the mountains. He's the usual Sandra Brown hero: honorable, broody, protective to the core with lots of secrets. She's stubborn, determined and slowly learns to trust him. Plenty of sexual tension between them in the only one room scenario, snarky barbs included.

Their romance builds slowly, with layers and heat. The sex scenes are hot, but in more of a sensual way. Technically

there's cheating but since her hubby is a POS, I can forgive it

. I loved how he goes all out to protect and defend her. There's a lot going on with the suspense, twists and turns galore. Ended a bit abruptly though, things could be tied up better, and I would've liked an extended HEA.
