This book started out really strong with a strong concept and a strong character.
I loved the little town, I loved the family and how understated the supernatural element of it all was.
The book managed to create a sarcastic/ cynical main character that was likeable and multi-dimensional.
I only gave it three stars because the ending didn't really work for me.
A lot of the character development towards the end didn't feel deserved.
The plot wrapped up too nicely and too quickly. I felt like the main character didn't really get their big battle.

Minor: Blood, Car accident, Death of parent, and Fire/Fire injury
