Wow I hated this book. I thought it was supposed to be more horror, but it turned out to be mostly romance. I could not identify with any of the characters. They all did things that made no sense. The plot was weak. The main character was a Mary Sue. Wow. Just wow.
This book was really excellent. Such a different dystopian than any other I have read so far. My only qualm with this book was that through out it, I felt a strong resemblance to one of my favorite movies, The Truman Show. The way the kids were watched with those black screens and the fact that it was all so controlled. And that actually wasn't an issue for me because it was just a resemblance and never any blatantly obvious stolen material. But then the end came, and the route to escape turns out to be almost exactly like the movie. Down to the fact that the main character is deadly afraid of water due to a traumatic experience. Though that did bug me a bit, I won't allow that to stop me from telling everyone I know that they should read this book.
