If the premise of this book sounds interesting to you I would say to give it a try. You will not be left better or worse off for having read it, and it's a fun palate cleanser between more serious books. The characters are static, but the journey is fun and has perfectly placed dark humor. Parts of this book seem like an unpolished first draft, while others are beautifully written. Definitely worth a shot.

I think it would have been a little better with a female author.

A great fun read which plays of many horror/slasher tropes but I felt the end got a little too Rambo-ish for my liking which distracted from my enjoyment of some great twists.

I really enjoyed Grady's writing style though so will be going back for more.

Full review to come.

I liked this book, not sure if I would classify it as horror though. Yes it was violent to a certain extent, but it felt more thriller-esque.
If one is looking for a book to fall in love with the characters, this one isn't it's done extremely well.
I liked how, as a reader, one constantly went from thinking the main character is right to thinking she's absolutely making all of it up in her head, back to thinking it's real and so on.

the premise is so so so interesting but omg the execution was awful, the plot twist/reveal was so anticlimactic, boring, and random.

I really enjoyed this one more than I expected! I’m not a big fan of slasher films and have only seen 1 or 2 but I could still appreciate and understand the references.

None of the characters are likeable but the plot and great writing style made me tolerate them and keep reading 😂 This was an exciting and quick read with plenty of unexpected plot twists! I realized after finishing this, that I actually have another book from the author on my nightstand for this months TBR so I can’t wait to read more from him! Whether you’ve watched/enjoyed slasher films or not, I’d highly recommend this horror thriller novel.
