His writing is always charming. None of his books are riveting but they’re a nice story

I love the characters and mini worlds that Backman creates in his stories. Perhaps my favorite part about his writing is all his creative metaphors and descriptive language

An emotional roller coaster, for sure. Beautifully heartbreaking story of kids growing up together through hard times, and how it affects some in adulthood. I loved the parallel stories being told, and the correlation between the past and the present.

Louisa, as a character, was just so fantastic- she brought just the right amount of levity to a very heavy read!
