I’m not sure what it is about Backman that keeps his books from being 5 stars for me, but like Anxious People, this is very good and heartwarming.

Really well written and interesting book, but it just felt overwhelmingly sad and down to read for 500 pages. I liked it but I needed it to have a different edge because it was just a really depressing book, in the same way over and over again.
