I never finished this book. I lost interest about 2/3 through. I will give it another chance, but I'm not sure. I liked it, then stopped.

Roth was certainly an antagonist… his justification for a decades-long grudge against Andreas is flimsy AF and thus he comes across as particularly untethered from sanity. Which isn’t actually what I think the idea was hahaha.
I did like Andreas and Claire, though. The forbidden aspect of her being bonded to someone else added a twist to this bonding format that was interesting.

I'm really enjoying the Midnight Breed series. A bit on the darker side, somewhat action packed, but always loving and sensual. What I love most is that the author doesn't ignore the fact in her stories that life is changing for the whole Order... that everyone seems to be falling in love and isn't that crazy! ;)
Claire seemed a bit helpless to me, and I'm not sure her talent was fully used in this book. Man her husband was a prick, though. Loved Andreas, but I do miss his swagger that he had before Dragos' chaos ripped him up.

Maybe I'm a sucker for love stories but I really liked this book. The characters had to fight to save each other the whole time. It wasn't just an easy we live happily ever after type thing. I like that. This book is the last in the series for the time being. There is a new one coming out in January I think. I am excited to see where this series is going, especially since "the big bad" has escaped! I think the next installment will be very suspenseful indeed.

Don't get me wrong I like all the characters but I just could not get into this book. It took me almost 2 weeks to read whereas I read the rest of them in a few days.
