This book is one of the saddest I’ve ever read. It shows the reality of refugees and treatment in detention centres. This story is so heartbreakingly real. Honestly this is a must read to anyone and everyone it tells such sad realities in a fictious manner. The multi perspective of Kenny, Jonna and Ana gives insight and shows every side of a narrative.
Graphic: Panic attacks/disorders, Medical trauma, Confinement, Torture, and Physical abuse
Moderate: Self harm, Injury/Injury detail, Suicide attempt, Islamophobia, and Racism
Minor: Panic attacks/disorders, Violence, Religious bigotry, and Racial slurs
