This one was just okay, but I did enjoy it more than Richard II, predominately for Prince Hal’s storyline.
He was a very charismatic character, and I appreciated the silliness of Falstaff believing he could successfully deceive Hal several times too. It leaves the audience feeling like you’re in on a joke.
I also appreciated Hotspur’s personality, and how he was both likable, and off putting.
As far as Shakespearean battles have gone for me so far, this one was a much more entertaining read, predominantly for Falstaff’s shenanigans, and the well laid out build up to the battle of the Harrys.

Honestly, I just didn’t understand a lot of what was happening in this play. It felt like the action kept dragging on and nothing was really happening to keep me interested. And the big battle that takes place in the final act was lackluster.

excellent stuff for those of us who enjoy imaginative swears or alternatively those with daddy issues. was thinking of reading up on the historical background but don't wanna spoil myself.
