A snooze. Literally nothing happened until the last 20 pages of the book.

I enjoy the concept of the books. It is fairy tale BDSM and it is completely and almost utterly erotica. This series could never be made into a mainstream movie; it would have to be porn. No way around that.

I found myself more bothered by the premise with this book and less able to suspend my disbelief of two issues in particular: consent and STDs. Fairy tale setting only goes so far.

This book though did a much better job of exploring the inner thoughts and motivations of the princess and prince slaves and what makes submitting so exquisite. I enjoyed the Tristan chapters more than the Beauty chapters because the first person narrative did this better.

Yes.. I did it again and curiosity surely killed the cat! Anyways I think I'm done with this series for now. But I got to admit that it was definitely a bit better than the first book, you could see that the caracters were finally taking pleasure in their horrible misfortune. And there was even a love story..but it didn't really behold anymore secret to unravel.
