This was very much a vibes read for the first 75%. I could tell the author was trying to plant Easter eggs but they were a bit obvious. One of the MMCs called the FMC by a nickname WAY TOO OFTEN.
I also do not agree that this book is categorized as a duet. The female voice actress plays the FMC and ALL other characters while the male voice actor ONLY plays the MMC. I wish the male actor had done more. Both voice actors do an absolutely stellar job with their roles.
That being said, I still enjoyed the story overall and the magical elements. It definitely hooked me in that last 15%. I still have some questions that need to be answered so I’m eager for book two.

I’ll admit, I did have kindve higher expectations than what was reality, but I’m still not super disappointed. I feel as if the world could have just used sooooo much more fleshing out, as well as the characters. I did love both the fmc and the mmc, and the book did in fact have some interesting twists and turns.
I do feel as if the twist of her being a wolf is not super twsity, and that it was pretty much obvious from how much the book foreshadowed it. Like I said, I could’ve done with a lottttt more fleshing out and world building, and I feel as if this could easily be a 5 star series.
TLDR: I wanted it to be an ocean, and it was a pond.
