A simple, predictable, yet entertaining read that fans of ACOTAR will likely enjoy, otherwise you may look elsewhere for your next read.
*spoilers and a grouchy reader review ahead*
The audio book elevates this with Sean East's performance. Other than that, I've no reason to continue the series. Knowing that Callum, a gentle and restrained down to earth ML, will be replaced with yet another cookie-cutter "grey" Rhysand clone unfortunately means I will not be likely to continue the series.
However, beyond that, I would recommend this for those who like shifter wolf romances, and the outlander series– specifically in refrence to the scottish influence and a healer FMC– as those aspects are still very entertaining. And if you have no qualms with another "shadow-daddy" romance rug-pull in the second book– feeling very similar if not directly ripped from the ACOTAR series– then you will definitely enjoy this more than I did!
That being said, miss author, I would most definitely be persuaded to read the second AND yet-to-be-released third book if the love triangle where to become a throuple instead! Callum is so my style, and I can't bare to see him given the Tamlin treatment.
