What quick and light read! The premise is a lot like “Practical Magic” so I enjoyed myself. It was a quick read, and not too deep. I liked the characters and it was just enough information to root for them.

I tend to love anything with a hint of magical realism...this book is dripping with it and I am hear for it. Every bit of it. I LOVE how the garden is woven into the story and the flowers/herbs having powers. It's tough at points with the domestic abuse aspects but never gruesome or so descriptive that I had to stop reading. It could be triggering for some. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it, even the cliché bits.

If you like Practical Magic, I think you will like this book. It's full of magical realism and loveable characters that each have their own magical quirk. The climax fell a little flat for me, but other than that it was a fast and absorbing book.
