TW: sexual assault/abuse
Okay, I was really excited about this at first - I'm always looking for more F/F romance, and I'm not afraid of darker books. My issue with this was that there was no balance. Everything in Aura and Ruby's lives is incredibly rough and brutal, and they're rough and brutal to each other when they're together. There's not a single moment of respite in the entire book, and I think there's more explicit scenes than actual consensual sex. It just seems like the whole book exists for shock value, and it isn't supported by an interesting plot or likable characters. Ruby and Aura didn't even have any actual chemistry - we were just told that they apparently did. I couldn't find myself rooting for literally anyone in the book, and would not be able to recommend this to anyone.

DNF. It reads like awful fanfiction. I’m supposed to believe the connection between these two women in 30 pages all on their “vibe” alone?
I’m glad there’s a trigger warning considering there are TWO rapes roughly 50ish pages in. I can look past some of the books I’ve read that are 20+ years old and were written in a time where the discussion regarding how rape shouldn’t be used as character development. But this came out last year. I’m not upset that the promised to be explicit book turned out to be just so, I’m upset that it’s a terrible character building choice.
Not to mention these two women are incredibly awful for each other, from what I thumbed through. The dialogue is full of gaslighting and toxicity.
So intrigued by the idea of each chapter being through someone else’s eyes, but nothing else sold this for me. Disappointed because I was so excited to read this one.

Vibe Girl
Cmere Vibe Girl.
I had to step back and read it again before I could get myself together enough to write a review. This book touched parts of my past I tend to keep buried and Liza did just an amazing job on this book.
I felt every word, every emotion, every experience.
Read this book, it’ll mess you up in the best possible ways.
