I was tempted to quit listening more than once. I finished it, and am not sure what even happened and not in a fun way, so I should have quit it.

This was a rollercoaster. I’m not sure where to begin.
This book had me waking and working my brain cells overtime.
First off, it was clearly mentioned at the very first beginning that Sam had tendencies to lying, as well her dangerous imagination and that one memory she recalled of her father ( when the grass rippled and she ran away from it crying). She’s definitely not stable.
However I found it painfully relatable, how desperate Sam seemed to be at first. Wanting to befriend them somehow even though she hated them. This constant need of pleasing people. Lying through her teeth in front of them. How gorgeous this dress this looks when it looks like fucking shit matter in factly. None of these bunnies liked each other anyway, it was just so bizarre. I could go on and on honestly.
Now that bit is understandable but what threw me off is the magic or rituals the bunnies threw, creating drafts/ darlings or whatever then killing them off with axes. How the hell do you even do.
Anyway what I’m trying to get at is that why did they want Sam in their cults, they even gave her these tic tac pills which is exactly why she wasn’t able to contact Ava, it all made sense after I read about 75% of the book, I realised Sam is schizophrenic, that’s she’s imagining it all.
Jonah wasn’t even real, and i honestly didn’t see that coming but the last line definitely confirmed it.
This book is definitely not limited to one summary or explanation, it’s open to more than that.
