Hitting that sweet spot of classic fantasy. The characatures are just so good. Stuffy pompous men engaging with urchin girls, filling that Feist - esque hole that I have been missing in my life
Very fun and engaging story, love that Sonea didn't just fall in love with Cerys. All the characters were cookie cutter enough to be warm and comfortable but also unique and original and engaging. Fun plot, somewhat obvious but cool underlying thing with the high lord being a dark magician. All tying up to me wanting more
