This is such a fun twist on the standard fairytale and folklore style books. Super cute and engaging, and great for any age, in my opinion! Such an unrated book, and I wish more people knew about it! So give that random book that catches your eye a chance because you could also discover a hidden gem like this book!

So wonderful and imaginative, I loved every part. Sometimes the writing is a bit hard to read but when your eyes adjust it's totally worth it. Love this! Definitely going to read it to my kids one day!

Very cute. It's been sitting on my bookshelf for a few years, after I was charmed by it in a bookshop in Portland, Oregon. V glad I bought it. A thoroughly charming concept, with gorgeous art.

Que hermoso libro y que bella idea: explorar el mundo humano desde la perspectiva de las hadas y demás criaturas del mismo mundo. Aunque en teoría es un texto serio, obviamente las diferencias "culturales" son tales que en momentos la lectura es increíblemente graciosa y en otras es un espejo distorsionado que aún así logra mostrar una realidad dura.
El diseño del libro, con hojas envejecidas e ilustraciones fantasiosas, es la cereza en el pastel que completa la experiencia.

3 stars for the written content, 5 for the illustrations, averaging my rating out to 4. My favourite part of The Land Of Stone Flowers are the illustrations: they are beautiful, intricate, and charming. I enjoyed much of the text, and I really like the concept, though I did find it a bit uneven -- some portions of the text were hilarious, while others fell a bit flat for me.

I’m surprised this book has so few reviews on here! It feels almost as if this book’s magic has kept it from the public eye? It’s whimsical and fun with beautiful illustrations and style. It’s a book where fairies and pixies and gnomes try to unravel the mystery of human beings. The art style alone was enough to draw my eye and I’m glad I was able to find a copy!
