The audio is a lovely listen. I did fall asleep to it one time but happily so. Learned some basics from the book prior to a trip. The print copy has beautiful art and details.

Absolutely incredible. I have never been to Grand Canyon and now I desperately want to go!

Deep dive into Jason Chin's work. He does a great job of making scientific themes accessible and adds gorgeous illustrations.

Jason Chin takes readers on a breathtaking tour of the Grand Canyon teaching them about the geological history, different animals and plants, and ecology of this stunning landscape. Very detailed.

What a visually stunning book; just a glance at the pictures makes you understand why this received a Caldecott Honor award this year. I love how the book examines the Grand Canyon present and past, and follows the main character as she and her father hike through the different ecological communities within the Canyon.

Informative. More science than history

A magnificent product of the combination of research & imagination.
The detail in the illustrations are remarkable.

Excellent example of narrative nonfiction. So much additional detail in the illustrations and extra information. Perfect for upper elementary students, even middle schoolers.

Wow! Amazingly well done! approachable and super informative! I learned so much!

I want to go to there.
