A very strong story lamenting on mental health, female hysteria and the ostracisation of women in post-war america, specifically reflecting on attitudes towards sex and purity, with marxist undertones littered throughout.

I've never seen the play, nor do I recall the last time I read one. This made me laugh, gasp, and say "no, no, no, no..." as I was reading it. It was not at all what I thought it was going to be. Age 45 and I finally know where the title comes from!

The real question: Who is the victim in all of this? OR, are they all victims in their own way? And victim of what exactly (because there is a LOT happening in these few pages!)?
