Found a copy of this left behind in my apartment complex and read over a day or two. I've never had the chance to read or see any Tennessee Williams, so it was serendipitous. Wow, what a play.

I think the most prominent theme for me was the juxtaposition of these three different women living vastly different lives, yet all three are similarly subjugated by the men in their orbit.

I hope to see it on stage one day.

i've only really read very contemporary plays recently so it was great to go back and read a classic. I found it fascinating how much more descriptive and literary it is than much of what i normally read.

I don't understand the hype over this play. It's enjoyable enough but nothing extraordinary. Perhaps I need to see it performed to appreciate it more.
