Leave it to Taylor Jenkins Reid to write a story about a fictional tennis star and have me fall in love with it! Sports fandom is far from my hobby of choice, but the relationships in this book and Carrie’s self determination and her interpersonal struggles make for a compelling read.

Read this in 1.5 hours which is mostly because you could rly rly skim read the entire thing because the writing was soooo action heavy (telling not showing to a T). I guess a good beach read but truly felt you only needed to read every 10th word to get the jist :)

I couldn't care less about tennis, but I care a great deal for Carrie Soto. TJR writes great characters and I can't wait to meet more of them.

I really enjoyed this book! Carrie was an interesting character, I loved reading about her dedication to tennis. Where the book really shines is her relationship with her dad. The two of them together were so fantastic.
