Carrie Soto is Back is definitely worth the read! I think it was that much better after reading Malibu Rising but would still work just as well as a stand alone. In Malibu, she appears as an angry mean tennis bully but in this book we see why her skin is built up so thick. I feel like Carrie is an extremely well written relatable character and definitely a whole different type of person compared to her precursors; Evelyn Hugo, Daisy Jones, and Nina Riva. I’m so happy I got this book on its release!!

Taylor Jenkins Reid continues to surprise and enchant me.  I will read anything written by her.  This latest book, Carrie Soto is Back, is all about tennis.  I'm not generally drawn to books about athletes or sports, but I couldn't put this down.  I'll probably watch more tennis in the future, which is not something I could have imagined.
