Found it difficult to connect to the character but that was more of a testament to my own life experiences rather than the power of the author's writing. Struggled to understand some of the fantastical descriptions, which at times were extremely overwhelming and baffling, but maybe that was what made the illness more compelling to me. From that, I have discerned that I must grapple with my own disconnect from the challenges of schizophrenia - lots to reflect on.

For my first semester of college, I'm supposed to read nine different books!! Totally awesome, (it makes it 10x harder for me to read what I want for fun) but I'm still excited as most of the books that are required reading have been on my TBR anyway!

Hard to read. Very patchy. There isn’t enough elements to make you connect w the characther(s) I think.
The parts with Yri etc. are esp hard to comprehend id say, it might make sense to the author as it’s mentioned to be autobiographical but looking from the outside it’s not easy to put the pieces together to understand whats going on. The “”recovery”” part as well. She works through things but those things are not revealed to us up until the point we are actually reading it. At the end of the day I’d like to know and think about whats happening/been happening for 250 pages.
Some nice/interesting quotes and ideas and feelings in here but again the writing doesn’t really help with understanding what they’re going through.
