morgan elizabeth is a comfort author for me at this point! her writing makes me smile & feel giddy. she’s hilarious and i find myself giggling while reading. this one was no exception. i read this series completely out of order (rare for me), but i was so happy to finally listen to this one.
ava & jaime’s slow burn romance had me on the edge of my seat waiting for a single hand hold or flirtatious glance. there were so many moments i absolutely adored & don’t even get me started on this perfection of a man!! the way he silently loved her…with ice cream, coffee, prepping her seat, and buying cat toys had me melting. and then there’s ava: confident, hilarious, and completely loyal. she would literally enter a pageant for her friends and i love her for it. &&& the proposal? i’m crying 😭
🎧 this audio was so good! stephen dexter brought broody, quiet jaime to life perfectly, and emma wilder was ava. 100% a must-listen. 5/5 🎙️

4.5 this book was such a good cute little rom com. Jaime is such a dreamy mmc and I really did love Ava. I usually get annoyed by characters but these two were precious and so was princess peach

This book was so much fun! I think bodyguard romances are quickly making their way to the top of my favorites list. Between the forbidden, secret relationship and the hot possessiveness, with some pretty hot banter thrown in…check, check, and check! Ava was so funny, she had me cracking up the whole book. And Jaime was so freaking swoony! I loved these two so much.
Emma and Stephen were phenomenal as Ava and Jaime! Emma brought the perfect amount of sass and determination for Ava. And Stephen was the hot possessive broody Jaime.

When Ava wins the Miss Americana pageant, the organization hires on a bodyguard for her during her three month long tour of the United States. Because of her growing popularity, Ava received threatening messages on social media so when her bodyguard, Jamie, comes into the picture, he’s very protective and sticks to strict rules. But Ava isn’t one for following rules and when Jamie starts to realize she’s not some stuck up pageant queen, his protective nature towards her becomes…a little bit more.
I loved this read so much!! I’m a sucker for bodyguard romances and this book delivered. I loved the Miss Congeniality vibes this book was giving too! Ava was such an awesome character and a bad ass! Jamie was obsessed and protective in the best ways. And when they finally collided together after toeing around their feelings it was perfection and so so HOT

This book was so adorably cute and funny. It follows the story of a beauty pageant winner, Ava, and her bodyguard Jaime as they navigate a cross-country journey full of post-pageant events. The tension between the two is undeniable from the beginning and the flirting and banter is just top tier. Ava is such a fun personality of bubbly and over-the-top, but is also strong and doesn't take sh*t from anyone, including Jaime. There is very much the grumpy/sunshine difference between the two in the best way possible. There were numerous scenes that made me laugh out loud, and there were also some very well-written spicy scenes that will get you all hot and bothered. I LOVE a man that calls a girl "Princess." I will definitely be adding this one to my shelf!

I enjoyed this in a way, but unfortunately, I found the fmc annoying more often than not to FULLY enjoy it.
