Ho cominciato a leggere questa serie perché, almeno in quanto a meccanismi, mi ricorda moltissimo Game on.
In quanto a Bishop...

"No matter what led us to this moment, right now I'm yours"

Sawyer Bennett is back at it again folks. Her hockey stories are always a good read! I've read her Cold Fury Hockey stories and they were good. Just as good as Bishop.

Arizona Vengeance is the new expansion team for the NHL. Meaning Bishop Scott was traded to them and is forced to make a fresh start. His first night out he's looking for a good time. Turns out his night will end well since he spots Brooke from across the club. One thing leads to another and he's realized he had the best one night stand ever. As story goes on I really come to like Bishop. He isn't grossly romantic or stuck up. He's a man who was pushed into a situation and makes the best of it. It might help that he really knows how to take care of a lady!

Brooke is the female lead and she's nice. Bishop seems to be the focal point of the story, but in the few chapters from her POV you do like her. She isn't overly sweet, but she is a good person and that's one of the reasons Bishop likes her so much. She's kind of adorable. Especially when she talks to Bishop about the things she likes.

What's the criteria for erotica? I slightly think this book should've been categorized as it because even for SB books there is quite a bit of sex taking place. However, it doesn't seem to take away from the plot. It's also written well, so who can really complain?

I'm looking forward to reading her next books. Erik will be book two and Legend book three. I have a very strong feeling that book four will be about Tacker. I'm the most excited about that one. It doesn't matter because SB writes men that you just love.

My compliments for this story are endless. But my biggest compliment is that she really knows her hockey. At the end of the book she thanks a former NHL player. I'm grateful that she took the time to really get the details down and make it about hockey with romance!

It's a great book, 10/10 I'd recommend.

im sorry but someone in the position of Dominik doesn't care about Bishop or Brooke

Rating: 4.5 Stars

Bishop Scott seems to be one lucky man. He has a good friend named Dax. Brooke Perron in one moment seems like a real fashionista and the next she seems a little vulnerable. I liked the fact that she didn’t want to just ride on her father’s coattails but wanted a job that meant something. There are a few secondary characters that I look forward to getting to know better.

It was interesting to watch a relationship develop in reverse. I had no trouble picking up on our couple’s connection. Some just seem to have an instant heat and that’s true with Bishop and Brooke. Our author does a good job in developing her secondary characters as well. They are necessary to the way the scenes flow. You also see how well she goes about doing that because she was able to create a character that I hated – one word, leech. But then as I got to see more of her my one word kept changing.

This is when you know the author’s done a great job with her book. She’s able to create something that affects my feelings so much that I want to express them. In this case, I can’t decide whether I want to give her a swift kick or a good punch to the… But she also had me cringe every time I saw this character’s name. She’s a loud one – she seems to command your attention. I was happy when she disappeared from the scene because I could see her easily taking the story over and changing my feelings about the beginning of the Arizona Vengeance series.

Usually when you have the first book in a series the story can get a little long because the author uses it to build the world that will become the backdrop for the stories that follow. This author doesn’t do that here. No scene seems to drag and nothing seems out of place to what is going on with the characters. This was a great book to the start of a brand new series and I’m very interested to see where the author plans to take me next.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

one night stand turned into a fake relationship

SUCH A SOFT HERO KIND OF STORY. SUCH A BADASS FEMALE CHARACTER.

The first book of the Arizona Vengeance series was a hit with me.

If there's something I want to remember of the story is how supportive people can be of each other. How kind, loving and non-sense friendship can be.

You can be flawed and be forgiving of yourself just the same. Having people around you that remind you of that. Not only to forgive, love yourself and take it slow but to understand your feelings and not take them for granted.

Bishop and Brooke have that kind of friendship. The relationship they form throughout their story is genuine and colorful.

Other than how beautifully written the characterization was. The sports talk didn't disappoint, from the start, you can see how research can bring the best out of your story. It compliments so well. That's all I ask of authors, to research!

I am so pumped to continue reading these stories within the same world. Getting to know this new team, getting to know these characters that we all got a glimpse of which all have their own bright and full personality. There's so much I can't wait to read.

When a one-night stand can turn into your happily ever after...

Bishop Scott has started on a brand new team, the Arizona Vengeance, after a successful career in New York. After the most incredible sex of his life, Bishop is ready to play his heart out on the ice. When he enters the arena, he finds the woman he spent the night with and he feels as if fate stepped in to make things sweet for him. He's ready to pick up where they left off and she seems willing... until they're caught in a compromising position by his new coach... her father!

Brooke Perron has left her cushy life in New York to offer support to her grieving father in Phoenix. After a co-worker fails to show up at the bar, she invites a hot stranger to her bed and has the most amazing sex of her life. Starting a new job for the Arizona Vengeance, she's surprised to see Bishop at her work place. It's like kismet or something. He brings her into a passionate embrace that may have led to more if her father hadn't walked in. To save face and maybe protect Bishop from the fallout of her father's temper, she lies and tells her dad that they're engaged. And that's how a one-night stand turns into a fake relationship and then into forever.

These characters were so adorable. They were incredibly likeable and the development of their relationship was almost natural. You know, aside from the fact that it was fake. But it was obvious, almost from the start, how NOT fake their feelings for one another were. And Bishop surprised the heck out of me with how sensual, dominant, and dirty he was. LOVED IT!! I found love for all of the characters, including the side ones and I'm excited to get to read their stories when they come out.

I loved Bishop's story and this new franchise story I can't wait to listen to them all.

I liked it well enough. It wasn’t this horrendous re-telling of her books all mashed together. It can definitely stand on it’s own. That being said it was kind of lackluster in it’s movement. It was a little slow in terms of speed.

The characters will suck you in. The game will be fiery. But the speed in which the book moves is just a little slow. It might be me. But I was expecting a fast-paced book. This was not it.

The relationship was perfect. Honestly, I think it was one of the better relationships Sawyer Bennett has ever done. It won’t be in my favorites. But it will be in my top ten.
