Very beautifully written book. Really enjoyed the description of Australia nature. Although all sections of Daniel Millers book felt rather dragged out and I believe could have been left out.

I love Kate Morton and ended up enjoying the end and the resolution of the mystery but it just dragged for me. I do honestly think it could have been about 200 pages shorter and I don't know that we needed the book within the book. I think that took away from some character development in the present. Not a Kate Morton I would recommend to someone looking to get into her!

At first I was kind of annoyed with this book. I thought I had it all figured out right from the start. I thought it was really well written and I enjoyed the story, so I stuck with it even though I "knew" what happened..... nope.

Took me a while to get through due to the size of the book... However, I loved it. I felt intrigued and was engrossed in the story until the end. A first time reading Kate Morton, won't be the last!
