It was horrible and great all at the same time. I rolled my eyes many times but I also NEEDED to know what happened next. The romance bit was just cringey, but the storyline was suspenseful and intriguing enough that I made it to book 3 before Spotify cut me off on audio hours.

The Never King, (and the entire Vicious Lost Boys series, if I'm being honest) is a guilty pleasure read for me.
Is the plot great? - it's okay
Is the writing grammatically correct? - not always
What about the characters? - mostly I love/hate them
How about the world-building? - now THIS is immaculate
The MC, Winnie Darling is a little insufferable at times. She's written to be very sheltered, quite needy, and overall I get the vibe that she's a huuuge "pick-me".
The cliffhanger at the end of this book, led me directly into the next installment of this series, however. So despite any flaws I found within this book - I'll keep reading and reviewing!

Oh my gosh
Okay so going into this I didn't expect the spice it had. Nor did I realise it was a Peter Pan retelling story (I guess that's my fault going in blind) but wow I enjoyed it so damn much! And will be reading the next book.
This was my first experience with RH and i utterly loved it. The storyline of neverland loosing its power was a fun plotline.
