Why choose Peter Pan retelling… I listened to the audiobook on a roadtrip and was literally screaming in my car because of how unhinged and insane all of these characters are. I loved it though, so take that as you will
The storyline was so intriguing, but because the book is so short none of it was really fleshed out. The characters seemed to have a lot to them, but you never really found out what. Why is Vane so brutal? What does his shadow feel like? Why is Kas the kind one? What are the things that make him and his brother different from one another? It's fast and dark and if you want smut for smut's sake it's fabulous, but even the smut is just descriptive - there's no connection or want for any character involved in it. It's usually a good thing when a book leaves you wanting more, but this one felt like it was missing things rather than enticing you with them.

Fun easy read for RH month in Between the Covers Book Club. I loved the fantasy element of the Peter Pan story, but with a much darker and twisted vibe
