This book was fine, but quite formulaic and the ending was so cheesy, it may have triggered some IBS. (And I'm a Wisconsin girl, so that's impressive.) I also found the narrators for the audiobook robotic, particularly the one the read from Opal's POV. It made the cheese extra hard to stomach.

This book was great. Her stories are so creepy! This a fantastic first novel.

This novel is no Mary Higgins Clark or John Grisham, but it was still entertaining. The last chapter at the airport was a bit cheesy, though.

Good read. Allot of names/characters to keep up with. Chapters alternate between 1970’s to “current” day 2020’s. Quick read. Easy to pick up and put down.

Really enjoyed the small twists and turns within this story. At times, there were quite a few characters to keep up with, but I really enjoyed it!

Good book. Very exciting read!

Two murders, 30 years apart. A ghostly girl wandering the woods. Objects appearing and disappearing. And secrets galore.

Jennifer McMahon has become one of my go-to authors. I've enjoyed everything I've read by her so far, and this was no exception.
