It was so good and so promising and then the end was so bad. Frustrating!

I liked this book for the most part. I found myself wanting to know what happened, so I was captured that way. I like the flashbacks to Kate's childhood and her friendship with Del and how it is affecting her future. I really liked the character of Opal. I honestly guessed who the killer was before they were revealed. Towards the end of the book things started to get a little odd for me and I'm not sure how I feel about the ending of the book. It was a good book overall though.

Liked it, didn't love it.

Quick, easy read. Nothing special but perfect for the beach (or the like).

A ghost story and a mystery, romance and a character novel...all rolled into one. Liked it, didn't love it. Figured out things about half way through, but had to read it to the end, just to make sure. Since it was read in a waiting room, I was thankful I was swept up in it, so for that, I was grateful for Jennifer McMahon's ability to keep it interesting enough to follow it to the end.
