Okay in the same way I was obsessed with Bad Blood, I am obsessed with this. Ronan truly makes the most mundane parts of journalism the best reality tv. I loved his voices and impressions and that he seemed to enjoy telling even the worst parts of this story that I thought I knew. The actual case is disgusting. But also a little uplifting? Regardless, I feel like this was important culture for me to know and I was happy to listen.  And I’m almost surprised he and Jon lasted as long as they did. I hope everyone feels safe and fulfilled.

I'm not a squeamish reader by any means but this got seriously hard to keep listen to at times. This book is a fantastic journalistic effort with top notch reporting but what I really appreciated the most was the obvious care that was taken to do justice to the many, many people involved in this case, making sure to represent them as three-dimensional people with a life and ambitions and dreams and not merely as faceless victims. Also I went into this thinking Jon Lovett was kinda overrated but fwiw the comedic relief his existence provided in the midst of such a bleak story was invaluable.

Stunning writing and reporting. There’s so much more to this story than Harvey Weinstein.
