The plot was not as good as the first two Saxon Chronicles, but I liked Uthred even more in this one. I saw a review where someone called him "a ninth century Han Solo." I think that is pretty accurate. I will definitely read the next one when it comes out.

Another of the rip roaring set read. Some clever plotting here and an immense amount packed into one book. Really get the sense of a very fluid and confused period in history.

Another great entry in this series. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.
