The art in this is absolutely gorgeous but the story is boring as hell.

This first volume of Motor Crush is so fast paced that you actually feel like you're zooming on a motorcycle alongside the characters. By the end, there are more questions than answers but this all comes by way of some intense sci-fi elements so it's pretty great. I love our central queer relationship, these women are badass and deeply care for each other. Can't wait to find out more.
This was a really great read! I'm definitely interested in reading more, since this story is very intriguing.
Where do I even begin?
The art style is so stunning I have to pause and look it over for minutes before being able to turn the page.
The characters are stylized and has personality to back it up with.
The setting has me reaching for a tropical drink even if it's december and my toes are falling off from the cold.
The racing and contests are things I normally wouldn't care about, and yet I'm at the edge of my seat.
This is excellent sci-fi!

This one took me some time to get into. I can usually read graphic novels in 1 or 2 sittings (depending on the time I have), but this one I read the first "chapter" and put it down for days. I'm glad I decided to keep going, because once I got into the panel styling/structure I really got into it once the story go going.
I adore all of Babs Tarr's art. All of it. It's just so fantastic! And so I went out of my comfort zone to read a comic about a badass bike racer. I'm very glad I did. There were occasionally terms not explained and not necessarily enough context clues, and a few times where panels got a little muddled for me, but otherwise this was really a great read. I'm of course keeping an eye open for any Sailor Moon references (spotted two!), and I'm intrigued to see where this story goes.
