Of the books I've read by Hardinge so far, I would say this one is my least favorite, and I still enjoyed it so much. She creates such fabulous worlds for the reader to get lost in, and her characters are so charming. Mosca is such a clever child, and I really loved following her adventures. I even enjoyed Saracen The Goose. To be honest, I didn't expect to like the goose at all, but I was pleasantly surprised.

An excellent read - picked it up in the charity shop and am so, so glad I did. A new favourite.

Review:

Loved the writing, didn't really like the story

Review previously placed on my blog:

I'm currently reading Fly by night by Frances Hardinge. This is the first book in the Fly by night duology. Listening to the audiobook for my Series TBR. Reading this for the Buzzwordathon with the prompt: Verbs

Very much not far into this, so can't really say a lot about it. But I love the writing. I just love this author's writing and that is apparant again in this book. Excited to see where the story will go from here, it is interesting so far.

I didn't like the story in the end. It was not very interesting to me. I do really love the writing of this author, so will read the second book and more books from the author.
