3.5 stars rounded up to 4 for the fourth of the book that piqued my interest. GRRM is a wonderful writer, but as everyone else has said, at least three fourths of this novel is filler. If I wasn't so stubborn or afraid of missing something, I would have skipped major parts of it. For instance

the whole Quentin Martell plot?? Literally introduced and ripped away in this one book... totally pointless.

I had to read two books in between this novel just to allow my brain to roll over from the monotony: namely, lots of feasts and deliberating on what to do next.

In all, the 25% of the book that made me go, "WHAT.... " in true GRRM fashion was excellent, but read at your own risk.

The best of the 5! Very good pace, enough action, drama and thrill to keep me going! All my favorite characters were there as well!
Can't wait to get my hands on the 6th book.
