I thought sleeping on this review would help. It didn't.
Def check the trigger warnings for this one as it's one of the darkest Star Wars books that I have read.
While, I was intrigued about what happened to Qi'ra after Han escaped, this fell a little flat. I really enjoyed seeing her just be like whelp. Girl's gotta survive and just be her morally gray self, not a ton happened and yet it did??
Also - mild spoilers ahead so turn away now if you don't want them -
WHERE WAS MY RED AND BLACK SKINNED, POINTY HEADED, MOSTLY MECHANICAL BODIED, GIRLY POP I'M NOT A SITH ANYMORE Maul? Obviously she took the you know what to him right?!! And then obviously if you've seen the Solo movie she calls him after she kills Voss so liiiike GIVE.US.MORE. I ENDURED ALL OF THAT, ALL OF THE BRUTALITY, THE SCHEMING, THE MURDER, THE MAYHEM, AND GOT - NOTHINGGGGGGGGGG. Rude.
