Winnie the Pooh has for a very long time been one of my favorite things.  It’s not just a storybook; it’s a comforting escape into a world where kindness, friendship, and imagination reign supreme. Every time I read it, I feel like I’m reconnecting with an old friend, and the Hundred Acre Wood becomes a place I never want to leave. Yes, I am aware that sounds overly cheesy but bear with me.

The characters are what carries the book, Winnie-the-Pooh, with his endless love for honey and his simple, thoughtful outlook on life. Piglet’s quiet bravery and loyal heart. Eeyore’s dry humor and resigned acceptance of life’s ups and downs. Each character is so relatable, with their quirks and flaws, yet they fit together perfectly in their little community.

The books storytelling is lighthearted yet still filled with wisdom and great quotes. Phrases like, “Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart,” stay with you long after you’ve closed the book. There is little question of why books like *tao of Pooh* and *Te with Piglet* exist. (even tho these books are not really greatly written)

What makes this so special to me is how it manages to be both heartwarming and profound. It’s a book that I loved as a child for its humor and adventure, meaning that there is also a lot of great memories in this book for me.

This book really just feels like a welcoming hug.

Favorite childrens book since I was a child.

When I was a little kid, my mum used to read out loud to me bed time stories and books. They were mostly the original Grimm Fairy Tales, which are quite dark (if I say so myself) for a kid but I still enjoyed them. She only read to me Winnie-the-Pooh once, and I don't remember it much but I remember feeling calm and content as a 4 year old in her mother's lap.

I recently had an anxiety attack and I was searching for something to calm me down, to ground me. So I picked the audiobook and tried to breath. Listening to this and remembering the times my mother read to me help me to ground myself. I'm not saying this would work on everybody, but it worked on me. I had forgotten how captivating were the original books, how happy they made me feel. Guess nostalgia is a powerful thing.

How do I rate such a sweet middle-grade book? hahahaha Just glad I finally read it
